Wooly Arnica
This bright flower is taller than Griscom’s Arnica, and its leaves and stems are covered in stiff hairs. It forms small clumps on open limestone barrens, often growing with one of the three other species of arnica that live on the barrens. Its seeds have bristly hairs that catch the wind, allowing them to drift to new locations on the barrens.
